St. Patrick was originally from Britain but he had been taken as a slave to Ireland where they were polytheists, so he introduced the true God, Jesus Christ to them. March 17th is the day of his death, no one know his exact date of birth (somewhere in the 1st century)the original color that represented St. Patrick was BLUE but then it was changed to GREEN due to the vast and lush hills of Ireland, some people say that St. Patrick drove out all the snakes from the island when in fact ireland has never had any snakes in their natural habitat. this is just a little bit I know about the subject.
