Much goes on around here

I have been away from writing on this blog because our laptop finally quit working, appearantly soda was spilled onto the 'motherboard' that makes me sad since I have about 3,593 (number may be a bit exaggerated) pictures of Mr. Franklin and Ms. Bella. I was told that the memory was still good and all the files can be retrieved, so I still have that hope, that I didnt completely lose those pics. Luckily I copied all of Beli's pictures of when we lived in Utah onto a disc. It was so nice going back in time thru pictures Bella and Franklin look a lot alike when they were the same age, right now not so much. They are both cute in their own ways.

So, the breaking down of computers was one thing, the other thing was that my very favorite show had auditions in our area, I was certain I would be picked because I am different looking, a minority, mysterious, and great dashing looks, but NO! by the way I am joking about all that (except for the minority, I am in fact Mexican and that makes me a minority, although, there are a buttload of us mexicans here in the U.S. so hmmm?) The choosing of contestant was extremely random. Everyone filled out a quick application, then they put that in a big drawing can. They drew 5 names at a time, then each was given a mini interview, "tell us a little about yourself" to the which, many answered "I love the outdoors, camping fishing, and playing wheel of fortune" If Zach were chosen he said he would say "I am Zach, I am the life of the party!" I would have said "I love to chase cows around the pasture and giving them manicures...nah, just joking, I was going to mention my love of cooking and eating and traveling the world with the help of the show". The host of the auditions was a young lad, with more energy than the energizer bunny and a 3 yr. old combined, he was fun and loud, and there you go, Wheel of Fortune really means you gotta be lucky to be on the show, thus fortunate all around. It was pretty fun the kiddos didnt so much like the blasting heat.
Another thing I got to do was to go to daycamp with the cub scouts, that was pretty fun for the first 2 hours, I learned about pocket knife safety and that I am horrible at improvised skits. The theme was Knight of the Round table. The kids got to shoot arrows, I wasnt invited I guess it was for the scouts not for the old ladies that have young hearts. (Me) and they also shot bb guns, Fun, but also I wasnt invited. I did however push heavy boys in wheelbarrows as they did pretend jousting with a swimming pool noodle (it had a metal rod inside it). The boys had loads of fun and that is what matters.

Bella went to visit Gramps and Granny with cousin Jackie and uncle Don. She was gone for a few day, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun and came home on monday afternoon, let me tell you I sure missed my little monkey princess, I would go to her room looking for her, forgetting she wasnt home. cuckoo! Granny was super nice to them. Bought all the granddaughters matching outfits and took them to the fancy movies, Kung Fu Panda, wow! That was cool and of course they had sleepovers with Jazzie and Kylie. I remember going to my grandmother's house in Nayarit and pretty much not getting anywhere near the royal treatment as my kid, very much the opposite! I will have to write about that in my novel "Memoirs of a little Sol".

There is much more but I dont want to bore you with all my troubles, and you must be thinking as Harry from Dumb and Dumber says "thanks". Goodnight Friends and my beautiful family.

I think Franklin is handsome, not just because he is my son, but look at him... what a cutie!!! (typical mother!)

Picture this...

For Father's Day I decided to have the girls do something for their dads that would keep them busy and and be nice at the same time. We went to Michaels Craft store yesterday and got some super plain picture frames, I got paint and cool color stones, I guess they are used for accenting flower vases, I thought it would be cute to put these around the frame after it was painted. Jackie chose green stones because her dad's favorite color is green and ms. Bella chose a cool light blue for her Papo's frame. I bought a hot glue gun for about $3, my first hot glue gun ever!!! The excitement was pretty high until I had a little wad of melted plastic fall on my finger, HOT HOT HOT it burned pretty good, and trying to remove the plastic didnt make it any better. Anyway, the frames look good, I need to take a picture of the dads with their respective kids to put in the frames. When I get that I will put a picture of that here to show the world that I lack in the 'crafty' department but have pretty good intentions of making the dads feel super important and loved by their offspring.

Celebratory Lunch for Nacho

Summer is here and it doesnt feel like it. We have been having cloudy skies and rain since forever. I am not complaining because I love the rain, especially like the one we received on the evening of Memorial day. It really came down hard! Rain makes the world seem fresher and greener. It also reminds me of fun times when I lived in Mexico as a kid. My siblings and I loved to play in the rain and jump in puddles. Sometimes we would find little tadpoles in the puddles.
A lot of good things have happened to our family. I would say that one of the highlights would be having my brother Elias Ignacio, or Nacho, graduate from college this June 7, 2008. I am so proud of him and the hard work he performed to achieve such a great achievement. He is so humble about it too, I love it! I took some pictures of our visit, but half of them were downloaded to his computer to make room for more pictures, then when there was more room, the battery died...dang it!!!
So bare with me. We also got to spend time with Leti, our oldest sister and her cute daughter Mari. Mari and I stayed up extra late telling eachother scary stories...uuuuy I am still scared!

Here are the other kiddos looking a little more content...then There's Bella at Pack meeting, the cub scouts raced some weird cart down a hill. Bella was pretty tired by then...she is truly a monkey, but a pretty monkey at that!!

Thursday was a super beautiful day here in the Boise area, the sun was shining nice and hot, how I like it, I don't really enjoy cold suns, for some reason go figure. So I decided to borrow my friends' minivan and loaded up my 2 monkey along with 2 additional kids, and I invited my other neighbor to come along for the ride...we went to the Boise Zoo, Bella was the oldest of the 5 kids, she is not quite 4, soon though, then there was a 2yr.old and a 1yr. old and then a 9month old and finally my precious little angel boy who is 8 months old...BIG MISTAKE!!!! Of the whole bunch, guess who was the fuzziest...none other than Ms. Chabelita... She got off the wrong side of her slide, holy groucholi. We were at the zoo for about 30 minutes, when I wanted to leave. We left and went to lunch...that was a great idea....she was much happier out of the heat and into an indoor playground, all you mothas know where we went, I wont mention it because I dont advertise for free...they have too much money! That night to top it off I had Pack Meeting and after I went to Meridian to deal with business...you know, business woman that I am and all. It was an incredible fun day for me because it was so full of fun and business...here are some pic of the zoo and also at the play area.

 
 
 
 
Speaking of mothers, Zach's Grandma, is 93years young, she is the biggest Jazz fan. We visited her in Preston ID. While there Bella befriended a little cat and we went to see the neighbors, the cows at the dairy farm. It was really nice and sunny but still really cold. The night before (Friday) when we arrived at Gramps and Granny in Rexburg ID, we got a pretty good snow storm...that area of ID is soooooooooooooooooooooo cold, but it is super beautiful. Especialmente, the Snake River. It was a fun trip, short but sweet.
